ABOUT Aviation & Rocketry TRACK

Discover and ignite your student’s curiosity in aviation and rocketry! For the 2023-2024 school year, we’ve redesigned this track switching to Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) resources & AeroEducate curriculum along with our Aviation & Rocketry Field Trip Series.

Through this track, students will be able to:

• In classroom setting:

  • Develop STEM and aviation skills through AeroEducate design challenges

  • Learn and regularly utilize the AeroEducate Engineering Design Process

  • Earn points toward AeroEducate’s Badge Program

• Take a first flight* (via our True North’s EAA Young Eagles flight events)

• Receive free student memberships to Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), Soaring Society of America (SSA) and Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) upon completion of first flight

• Receive free admission to 300+ science and technology museums across the country

• Receive free private pilot ground school, first step in training to earn pilot certificate

• Earn free flight lesson upon completion of first three volumes of ground school course

• Additional Aviation Resources: aviation magazines, scholarships to flight school and post-secondary, aviation career exploration, glider training resources, etc.

*Free flight and resources listed above are for ages 8-17, ages 5-7 have access to class
