High-energy chess lessons. The Knight School brings stodgy-free chess to great kids everywhere! Taught by experienced teacher, Caleb Brasher, The Knight School offers an amazing combination of chess lessons, laughter, and fun chess tournaments.

Coach Caleb, Lead Instructor, has been teaching with The Knight School for seven years, and has been Program Director of The Knight School Denver since 2018. With a passion for education, Coach Caleb provides a warm and welcoming environment for each and every student to not only become an excellent chess player, but to enjoy every step along the way.

The Knight School is a national network of interconnected chess programs, now operating in 17 major cities. Founded by Dr. David Brooks in Birmingham, AL, their revolutionary approach to teaching chess has been shaping young minds across the country over the last 15 years.

In this kid-centered classroom environment, they teach every cool trick, strategy, opening, and tactic in the game of chess. The Knight School also utilizes a “Tactic of the Week” chess curriculum as a very effective approach to build skills very quickly. Focusing on fun first, sportsmanship second, and actual chess ability third, their developmentally-targeted “chess party” keeps students all the way to chess mastery. Students soon learn to love and master chess, all while learning life skills along the journey!

Our learning experiences are ALL non-government funded.
