ABOUT Design & Architecture Exploration TRACK
Discover the world of design through creativity and technology! In this track, students explore the principles of architecture, interior design, and 3D modeling while learning practical design and STEM skills.
Using tools like Planner 5D and TinkerCAD, students will create floor plans, design virtual spaces, build 3D models, and experiment with engineering-inspired projects. This hands-on track combines art, math, engineering, and technology to help students see how design shapes the world around them.
Our learning experiences are ALL non-government funded.

Design 101: Create Amazing Spaces & Designs
Description: Have you ever wanted to design your dream room, house, or even build your own 3D models? Now you can! With Planner 5D and TinkerCAD tools, you’ll learn how to combine creativity and STEM skills to bring your ideas to life in 3D—and you don’t need any special skills to get started.
In this hands-on, virtual learning experience, you’ll learn to:
Draw your own floor plans — design walls, doors, and windows just the way you imagine them.
Furnish your spaces — choose from thousands of furniture, decorations, and fun objects.
Experiment with colors and materials — test out paint, flooring, and finishes to match your style.
Explore your design in 3D — walk through your rooms and experience them from every angle.
Make it realistic — add lighting and effects to create cozy, bright, or dramatic spaces.
Build with STEM tools in TinkerCAD — design 3D objects, practice engineering thinking, and even create models ready for 3D printing.
This virtual learning experience is perfect for students who love creativity, technology, and hands-on STEM learning. By the end, you’ll be able to design entire rooms, houses, and 3D models like a real designer and inventor—all while having a blast!

We provide a Design & Architecture Exploration Kick-Off & Orientation Zoom Meeting (with replay option) on Monday, October 6th from 2:30–3:30pm
We offer optional virtual meet ups where we discuss core concepts and share projects (with replays available)

Description: We have theme-based field trips across our educational tracks. The ones most related to this track so far are:

Dates: Offered throughout the year, timing will vary based on availability for each tour.
Cost: Free for Members on some. Others will vary based on field trip fees, if applicable.
