Homeschool Educational Track:
Homesteading & Home Economics
ABOUT HOMESTEADING & Home EConomics TRACK
You don’t have to live on a farm to use homesteading skills! Modern homesteading, backyard homesteading, and urban farming are all examples of what this can look like.
For the 2025-2026 School Year Program, we are partnering with experienced homesteading and home economics instructors to bring you more skill building experiences covering ages K-12th. Homesteading isn’t as hard as you think! Each sub-track’s experiences will have a specific topic and project focus.
Sub-Tracks:
Sewing - Beginner & Advanced
Farm Life, Soap Making & Animal Husbandry
Past Class Topics: Little Urban Homestead Series, Gardening, Sewing, Soap Making, Lotion Making, Vermicomposting, Tin Punch Lanterns by Living History Days, Eco-Friendly Beeswax Food Wraps, etc.
We also have engaging, real-life learning field trips throughout the year (see our Farm Tour Series).
Our learning experiences are ALL non-government funded.
