ABOUT Übergrippen
Übergrippen, in Castle Rock, has climbing terrain for all ability levels and activities.
Homeschool Rock Climbing Club
From September – April, we will be climbing together on Fridays once a month from 1:00-3:00pm at Übergrippen at the Castle Rock location.
There are so many physical and social benefits to rock climbing, including:
Strengthening balance
Strengthening torso muscles
Improving blood circulation
Relieving stress (we all need that right now, don’t we?!)
Strengthening social / interpersonal relationships
SELF-SUPERVISED PROGRAM
Our club will be organized under their “Self-Supervised Program” which means Übergrippen does not provide staff. They have 9 autobelays and bouldering walls available. For belaying, we will need parents and kids (years 13+) to help each time. Übergrippen requires kids to be supervised by an adult.
BELAY CERTIFICATION
All belayers need to be at least 13 years old and to have passed the Übergrippen belay test prior to belaying for climbers. Belay tests can be administered at any time.
CLIMBING SHOES NOT REQUIRED
While Übergrippen recommends climbing shoes to enjoy the full experience, they are NOT required and any closed toe shoes are perfectly acceptable.

Cost: Climbers:
Ages 5-18: $24* / climber / time
Ages 5 and under: $18 or Free with Paid Adult
Adult (homeschool teachers qualify for our discounted rate): $24* / climber / time (normal price is $27)

First Time Visitor Special Buy Two Day Passes, Get 3 (First Time Visitor Passes valid for 15 days, Non-Transferrable, Non-Shareable)
Family Pack (Max of 2 Adults 17+) $95 for First 3 family members, $25 Each Additional Child (17 & Under) – includes equipment rental

Rental Gear Pricing:
Gear Package (includes climbing shoes, harness, and belay device - if needed): $12 each time or $8/day when purchased with punch pass
Harness Only: $5 each time
Rock Climbing Shoes (Optional): $7 each time
Belay Device Only: $4 each time
2023-2024 Club: Runs September - April, club will meet monthly on Fridays, except around holidays and breaks.
WAIVER REQUIRED: You can complete their waiver ahead of time to speed up the process upon arrival.
