Through this virtual track, students will be able to: take a first flight, access free private pilot ground school, receive free student memberships to aviation associations, access scholarships to flight school and post-secondary programs, receive free admission to 400+ science and technology museums across the country, receive free aviation magazines, explore aviation careers, access glider training resources, and many more benefits!

Explorer Level - Elementary (ages 6-11)
Ignite Curiosity & Discover the World of Aviation
The Explorer Level introduces elementary students to the exciting world of aviation through hands-on STEM activities, aviation-themed experiences, museum visits, airport exploration, and real-life flight opportunities.
Designed to spark curiosity and build confidence, students explore how airplanes fly, discover aviation careers, learn basic aerospace concepts, and engage with the aviation community in meaningful ways. Through interactive projects, flight simulators, aviation challenges, and opportunities like EAA Young Eagles flights, students begin building a strong foundation in aviation and STEM learning.
Explorer students develop:
Aviation awareness and vocabulary
Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Introductory engineering and STEM concepts
Confidence through real-life experiences
Connection to the aviation community
This level focuses on exploration, discovery, and inspiring the next generation of future aviators, engineers, innovators, and aerospace leaders.

Pathfinder Level - Middle School
Explore Aviation Careers & Build Real-World Skills
The Pathfinder Level is designed to help middle school students move beyond aviation curiosity into deeper exploration of aviation systems, aviation careers, leadership, communication, and engineering concepts. Students begin connecting their interests to real-life aviation pathways while developing critical STEM, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
This phase introduces students to:
Aviation career pathways
Airport operations and infrastructure
Air traffic control and aviation communication
Aerospace engineering concepts
Aviation technology and navigation
Leadership and teamwork within aviation environments
Through immersive experiences, hands-on projects, industry tours, simulator training, and mentorship opportunities, students gain greater confidence and understanding of how the aviation world operates.

Flight Ready Level - High School
Prepare for Aviation, Aerospace & Postsecondary Pathways
The Flight Ready Level is designed to help high school students transition from aviation exploration into real-life preparation for aviation, aerospace, military, technical, and postsecondary opportunities. Students gain access to advanced aviation resources, industry connections, mentorship, leadership experiences, and career pathway guidance while building the confidence and skills needed for future success.
This phase focuses on:
Aviation career preparation
Ground school and flight training exposure
Scholarship and postsecondary navigation
Leadership and professional development
Aviation networking and mentorship
Aerospace and industry readiness
Students begin building a strong foundation for future aviation and aerospace opportunities through immersive experiences, advanced STEM application, industry engagement, and portfolio development.

“From Forces of Flight to Fighter Pilot” (Aviation Theme) — Friday, May 15, 2026 | 9:45am-12:00pm. Explore the science and skill behind aviation—from the fundamentals of flight to real-world fighter pilot training. Includes Live Night Sky Tour, Flight Adventures & Fighter Pilot. Optional picnic lunch from 12-1pm.

Denver (TRACON) Tour — Terminal Radar Approach Control
Denver (TRACON) Tour — May 20, 2026 | 9:00–11:00am. Experience a behind-the-scenes look at the Denver Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON) and explore air traffic operations up close. Highlights: Presentation on air traffic control and TRACON operations; Guided tour of live traffic control floor, observing controllers managing real-time air traffic; Hands-on air traffic simulation experience; and Interactive Q&A with Controllers. Recommended for ages 7 and up. All participants must remain quiet inside the TRACON due to the highly sensitive work environment. Participants 16 and older must present a valid ID. Additional registration information may be requested.
Historic Tower Tours at FlyteCo Tower + Lunch (Denver) — former Stapleton Airport Air Traffic Control Tower
Historic Tower Tours at FlyteCo Tower + Lunch (Denver) — former Stapleton Airport Air Traffic Control Tower — May 20, 2026 | (see tour schedules). Guided tours, lunch and games together at the unique FlyteCo Tower, located in the historic air traffic control tower from the former Stapleton Airport. This aviation-themed destination offers students a chance to experience a piece of Denver’s aviation history while enjoying a fun and memorable setting. During the tour, students will learn about the history of Stapleton Airport and the role of air traffic control in aviation. The experience combines education, history, and a unique environment that connects directly to real-world aviation careers. Lunch is optional for participants (Restaurant Menu). Minimum age for tour, not restaurant: 10 years old.
NEW Update: We will be joined by special guest Skip Greiser from 12–4. Skip served as an air traffic controller at Stapleton Tower during its years of operation and now works in higher education, training future air traffic controllers. We also hope to welcome a United Airlines flight attendant to share additional insights into aviation careers.

Colorado Springs ATCT Tour — Airport Traffic Control Tower
FAA Colorado Springs ATCT/TRACON — Monday, April 13, 2026 | 9:00am start time. Families participating will need to have a background check completed and provide True North with person’s name, DOB, DL # and State of issue (for anyone 16 and above with driver’s license). Ages: 7 years old and up.
