Courtney Raecker
Founder • Deeply Rooted Director • AmeriTowne Co-Leader & Teacher • Pikes Peak Region Onsite Coordinator
Courtney is the founder of True North Homeschool™ and a homeschool mom of two boys, one in middle school and one in high school. She is passionate about helping families create meaningful learning experiences, build community, and discover opportunities that align with their family’s unique needs, values, and aspirations.
As Founder, Courtney leads the vision and direction of True North, continually looking for new ways to connect families with meaningful opportunities, resources, and one another. She especially loves bringing ideas to life, building relationships throughout the homeschool community, and helping parents intentionally design a homeschool journey that allows their family to thrive.
Shauna Waldron
AmeriTowne Co-Leader • Field Trip Onsite Coordinator • Denver Metro Onsite Coordinator
Shauna helps bring True North programs, field trips, and learning experiences to life throughout the Denver Metro area. She serves as an AmeriTowne Co-Leader, Field Trip Onsite Coordinator, and Denver Metro Onsite Coordinator, supporting families across a wide variety of True North experiences.
From helping students engage in hands-on learning to welcoming families at field trips and creating opportunities for students to connect around shared interests, Shauna plays an important role in building community and helping True North experiences run smoothly. She especially enjoys connecting with families and creating welcoming, engaging experiences for students and parents throughout the True North community.
Melissa Kieselbach
Field Trip Co-Leader • Denver Metro Onsite Coordinator
Melissa has been homeschooling for six years and is currently homeschooling three children, ages 12, 8, and 3. Her family’s homeschool has a Charlotte Mason influence, with a love for classic literature, nature-based learning, peaceful rhythms, and simple traditions like daily tea time. She also enjoys hiking, nature walks, planning, and organizing seasonal learning experiences.
As a Field Trip Co-Leader and Denver Metro Onsite Coordinator, Melissa enjoys connecting with other homeschool families and encouraging fellow moms by sharing what has worked well for her own family. She helps coordinate True North field trips and learning experiences throughout the greater Denver Metro area while helping families feel welcomed and connected.
Sharon McGirr
Northern Colorado Onsite Coordinator
Sharon has been homeschooling for nine years and lives in Thornton with her three children, ages 12, 8, and 2. Her family enjoys art and crafting, learning new skills, aviation, science, helping others, and spending time outdoors.
As a Northern Colorado Onsite Coordinator, Sharon especially enjoys meeting other homeschool families and helping them connect with one another. True North has helped her family discover even more to enjoy about homeschooling, and she loves helping other families experience the many opportunities, activities, and connections available through the True North community.
Jennifer Dunn
Northern Colorado Onsite Coordinator
Jennifer and her family love the outdoors, adventuring, and finding new places to explore. She has four children and has homeschooled her two middle boys, now ages 14 and 11, for the past four years. Her family is also very active and especially enjoys sports and soccer.
After participating in True North’s Aviation Exploration experiences and many field trips, Jennifer was excited to become more involved in helping other families access those same kinds of opportunities. As a Northern Colorado Onsite Coordinator, she looks forward to helping expand the True North community, connect more homeschool families, and bring additional field trips and learning experiences to families throughout the region.
Pamela Brocklehurst
AmeriTowne Co-Leader & Teacher
Pamela serves as an AmeriTowne Co-Leader and Teacher, helping students experience economics, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and community through hands-on, real-life learning. She enjoys encouraging students as they develop new skills, take on responsibilities, work together, and put what they are learning into practice.
Through her leadership with AmeriTowne, Pamela helps create the kind of learning experience True North loves to offer—one where students aren’t simply learning about a subject, but have the opportunity to experience it for themselves.
Lisa & Jeff Langenfeld
Golfing Club Onsite Coordinators
Lisa and Jeff help lead the True North Golfing Club, creating opportunities for homeschool students to learn, practice, and enjoy the game of golf together. They help coordinate onsite activities and create a welcoming environment where students of different experience levels can build skills, confidence, friendships, and a love for the game.
Through the Golfing Club, Lisa and Jeff help provide students with another meaningful way to connect around a shared interest while building community with other homeschool families.
