Colorado Homeschool Co-op Network
Helping Colorado Families Build Community — One Co-op at a Time

Led by True North. Built with Colorado homeschool leaders. Strengthening parent-led communities statewide.

Connecting, equipping, and encouraging parent-led homeschool co-ops across Colorado.

The Colorado Homeschool Co-op Network exists to strengthen Colorado’s homeschool community by helping parents confidently launch, grow, and sustain thriving parent-led homeschool co-ops.

Led by True North Homeschool in collaboration with homeschool leaders, co-op leaders, and homeschool organizations from across the state, this initiative is designed to share ideas, resources, and best practices that empower local communities while preserving the freedom and flexibility that make homeschooling unique.

We believe the strongest homeschool communities are built by parents. By working together, we can help more families find connection, create meaningful learning opportunities, and ensure that every parent who feels called to start a co-op has the tools and encouragement to succeed.

Whether you’re just beginning to explore the idea of starting a co-op, leading an established community, or looking to connect with other homeschool leaders, you’re welcome here.

Together, we’re building a stronger homeschool community across Colorado — one parent-led co-op at a time.

Our Vision

To cultivate a thriving network of parent-led homeschool communities across Colorado where families are equipped, connected, and encouraged to create meaningful learning experiences rooted in their unique missions and values.

Our Mission

To equip, encourage, and connect homeschool leaders by providing practical resources, mentorship, training, and opportunities for collaboration that strengthen local homeschool communities throughout Colorado.

Our Core Values

  • Parent-Led — We believe parents are the primary educators and leaders in their children's education.

  • Community — Learning flourishes through meaningful relationships and shared experiences.

  • Collaboration — We are stronger together and believe Colorado's homeschool community grows when leaders support one another.

  • Local Leadership — Every community is unique. We equip local leaders rather than prescribe one model for everyone.

  • Homeschool Freedom — We celebrate and support the diversity, independence, and flexibility that make homeschooling successful.

  • Real-Life Learning — The best education extends beyond textbooks through experiences, service, exploration, and community engagement.

Founding Leadership Council (Coming Soon)

A volunteer advisory group representing a variety of homeschool communities and educational approaches across Colorado. Together, we’ll identify needs, share ideas, develop resources, and encourage collaboration among homeschool leaders statewide.

That council could include leaders from:

  • Independent parent-led co-ops

  • Church-based homeschool ministries

  • Regional homeschool support groups

  • Classical communities

  • Charlotte Mason communities

  • Outdoor and nature schools

  • Hybrid learning communities

  • Career and enrichment programs

A vision statement

The Colorado Homeschool Co-op Network exists to equip, encourage, and connect homeschool leaders across Colorado by providing practical resources, training, mentorship, and community for parent-led homeschool co-ops. Together, we're strengthening homeschool freedom by helping more families build thriving local learning communities.

Start a Parent-Led Homeschool Co-op

Homeschooling was never meant to be done alone.

Across Colorado, parents are creating incredible learning communities where families share the teaching, build lasting friendships, reduce costs, and create meaningful educational experiences together.

The best part?

You don’t need to be a teacher. You simply need a heart for bringing families together.

Whether you’re dreaming of a small community learning group, a weekly enrichment co-op, a nature school, or a career exploration community, True North is here to help you make it happen.

Together, we’re building a stronger homeschool community across Colorado — one parent-led co-op at a time.

Launch Your Co-op. Strengthen Your Community. Preserve Homeschool Freedom.

Why Parent-Led Co-ops?

Parent-led homeschool co-ops create opportunities that are difficult for families to accomplish alone.

They provide:

✔ Meaningful friendships for students and parents

✔ Shared teaching responsibilities

✔ Affordable enrichment opportunities

✔ Hands-on learning experiences

✔ Leadership opportunities for parents

✔ Strong local homeschool communities

✔ Support for new homeschool families

✔ Greater homeschool freedom through community collaboration

Every thriving homeschool community starts with a few families willing to say, “Let’s do this together.”

You Can Do This

Many parents hesitate because they think they need to be professional educators.

You don’t.

Successful co-ops are built by ordinary parents who are willing to organize, encourage others, and create opportunities for children to learn together.

Some of Colorado’s best homeschool communities started with just three or four families meeting around a kitchen table.

Start small.

Grow naturally.

Build community.
