Optional: Explore a Pathway

Students may choose one or more educational pathways that align with their interests, gifts, and future goals.

Participation in the Pathway Reading Challenge is completely optional. Students are encouraged to log all reading completed during the challenge—including homeschool curriculum reading, independent reading, family read-alouds, audiobooks, research projects, biographies, educational magazines, articles, and pathway-related resources.

As students log their normal reading, they can also explore topics connected to a pathway of interest through books, biographies, articles, and educational resources.

Explore the Pathways

  • Aviation — Explore flight, aerospace, aviation history, engineering, exploration, and the stories of pilots and innovators

  • Entrepreneurship — Discover business, innovation, leadership, economics, and entrepreneurship

  • Design & Architecture — Explore architecture, design, art, urban planning, and creative problem-solving

  • STEM — Dive into science, technology, engineering, robotics, mathematics, and problem-solving

  • Trades — Learn about construction, welding, manufacturing, automotive careers, skilled trades, and hands-on learning

  • Ministry & Leadership — Study faith, leadership, service, missions, character development, and serving others and making a positive impact.

The Pathway Reading Challenge provides an opportunity for students to move beyond curiosity, explore new possibilities, and discover educational pathways that may shape their future purpose and calling.

Your FAMILY’s Impact

The True North Freedom Fund exists to create educational opportunities. Funds raised through the challenge support:

  • Discovery Grants: Helping students explore emerging interests through camps, workshops, field experiences, museum memberships, and introductory learning opportunities.

  • Community Access Grants: Helping families participate in educational experiences that might otherwise be financially out of reach.

  • Pathway Scholarships: Helping students pursue focused educational pathways aligned with their interests, gifts, and future goals.

  • Legacy Scholarships: Helping students take significant next steps toward college, career, entrepreneurship, ministry, leadership, aviation, trades, certifications, and vocational advancement.
